Relaxation in Verőce
In the Danube Bend, you have a unique opportunity to spend the nights in a living tree. All this in a completely comfortable environment, in TREE HOUSES equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, heating, cooling and air conditioning.
We offer our accommodation in a town within the catchment area of the capital, easily accessible by train, in the green belt of Verőce, where you can enjoy the view of the hilly green forest of a peaceful landscape. The place is suitable for romantic, family and active relaxation.
We had our tree houses built on several large walnut trees, 3 – 3.5 meters high. The two tree houses, the Árnyas Dió and the Nászház a Fán, were built on the trees in an area next to each other, but in a non-transparent way. In the embrace of the foliage, you can enjoy the shady terrace on 25 m2 even in the summer heat. In the yard, there is a wood-fired, 5-person and 2-person hot tub in the winter – summer, for which we provide firewood all year round, and it can be used at no extra charge.
Our tree houses are considered green accommodation, made largely from recycled materials, and during the implementation we paid special attention to the use of natural materials and energy efficiency. Therefore, we ask our guests to pay attention to the rational use of water and electricity in line with this approach.
We maintain a small organic garden in the area, the produce of which we gladly offer to our guests. We grow tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, potatoes and many herbs here, which our guests can use when baking and cooking, and during evening barbecues. In addition to landscaping, planting crops is important to us, we have also planted grapes and several fruit tree varieties.
Description of the area:
Verőce is a very charming village located on the left bank of the Danube, at the foot of the Börzsöny Mountains, in the Budapest catchment area.
The village has a variety of restaurants, buffets, a community center, a library and a museum in the center of the settlement. It has a pastry shop and two bakeries, grocery stores, a butcher, a fruit and vegetable shop, an organic shop and a DIY store. However, the Danube bank is the most attractive: with beach, rowing and dining options, and free wifi. It also boasts a few playgrounds, two of which are located on the Danube bank, making Verőce beach a favorite among families with small children in the area. If you want a calmer, quieter beach, you can do this too, avoiding the more crowded parts of the coast, such as on the grassy beach in Kismaros, where you can also rent a kayak, canoe or SUP.
The forest trails and sights of the area can be explored on foot along the blue hiking trail in Börzsöny, on the Királyréti Forest Railway, and by bicycle. There is a built-in bicycle path on the Budapest-Vác-Szob route.
In fact, we wholeheartedly recommend the entire Danube Bend with its natural treasures and built heritage. On this side of the river, Vác, Verőce, Kismaros, Nagymaros, Zebegény offer so much beauty and programs.

Transportation
Verőce is 50 km from the capital, just 35 minutes from the Western Railway Station, with an hourly train.
The tree house is 1800 m from the village center, and due to the proximity of the railway, it can be easily reached on foot or by bicycle.
By car, the road leads over a paved road and a gravel dirt road. Parking on the tree house site is free and safe.
